A new day begins. Still with your eyes to open, not quite aware of where you are, you try to wake up. A pleasant sensation floods you and your body feels the pleasant touch again. Then you recognize it. It takes you a few moments to return to the place where you wake up, where you went to bed, like any other day, like any other night. You open your eyes to find yourself in bed. A warmth that allows you to get lost, from which it is difficult to detach yourself. Still lethargic, you stay a little longer, pensive. Sometimes to check the necessary strength to face what awaits you out there; others, reviewing what will happen until you feel its warmth again; sometimes you will not even be able to leave it on your own or, on the contrary, you will enjoy the thousand and one wonders without leaving where you woke up.

The bed is that multipurpose object that is present in multiple spaces in its different formats. In France, you can find countless types of beds: lit en alcôve, lit d'ange, lit à la duchese, lit à l'anglaise, lit en baldaquin, lit clos, lit colonnes, lot en dôme, lit de justice, lit de parade... Up to 69 types are described by Henry Harvard in "Dictionnaire de l'Ameublement et de la Décoration" (1887).

Comienza un nuevo día. Aún con los ojos por abrir, no muy consciente de dónde te encuentras, intentas desperezarse. Una sensación agradable te inunda y el cuerpo siente de nuevo el tacto placentero. Entonces lo reconoces. Tardas unos momentos en volver al lugar en el que te despiertas, en el que te acostaste, como cualquier otro día, como cualquier otra noche. Abres los ojos para encontrarte en la cama. Una calidez que permite perderse, de la que cuesta despegarse. Aún aletargado, permaneces un poco más, pensativo. A veces para comprobar las fuerzas necesarias para afrontar lo que te espera ahí fuera; otras, repasando lo que ocurrirá hasta que vuelvas a notar su calidez; en alguna ocasión ni siquiera podrás abandonarla por tu propio pie o, todo lo contrario, disfrutarás de las mil y una maravillas sin salir de dónde despertaste.
La cama es ese objeto polivalente que está presente en múltiples espacios en sus diferentes formatos. En Francia se puede encontrar innumerables tipologías de cama: lit en alcôve, lit d’ange, lit à la duchese, lit à l’anglaise, lit en baldaquin, lit clos, lit colonnes, lot en dôme, lit de justice, lit de parade... Hasta 69 tipos llega a describir Henry Harvard en “Dictionnaire de l’Ameublement et de la Décoration” (1887).
